The lockdown’s final countdown
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take a decision after speaking to CMs on April 11
Apprehensions over the lifting of lockdown on April 15 are subsiding. It is believed that the Group of Ministers (GoM) headed by defence minister Rajnath Singh is working on a proposal to lift the lockdown partially while suggesting to continue it region-wise with embargoes. The final decision will be taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi after he speaks to the chief ministers of states on April 11. However, even after the end of the lockdown, people may be asked to take several precautions, violating which could attract penal action.
